You think you have a Rolls Royce Phantom or a Lamborghini Aventador and you’re ballin’ right? You think you’re fly right? Well, take a look at this year’s most expensive automobiles and go to work. Maybe one day you can afford a Maybach Exelero.
1 Maybach Exelero $8,500,000.00 – $9,500,000.00
Owning the top is the Maybach Exelero. Only 10 cars made in the world, the Exelero is the work of tyre maker Fulda in collaboration with Maybach. The first time this exquisite vehicle was seen by the public was way back in ’05 in Berlin. Since then it has been the desired vehicle by all the millionaire car enthusiasts around the globe. The name Exelero comes from the tyre range made by Fulda, which is a well known and respected tyre company.
Basically, the Exelero is the most luxurious coupe money can buy.
One future owner of this one of a kind Maybach is said to be Birdman, the rapper extraordinaire which I’ve talked about in detail here on my blog. Him and his 100 million dollar check.
For some details, the top speed of this car is 220 miles per hour, it weighs 2.7 tonnes. It reaches the 60 miles per hour mark in around 4.4 seconds.
The design is the work of a 24 year old (hence the Batman style) Fredrik Burchhard who is a student at the Pfrozheim Poytechnic Design Department.
2. Bugatti Veyron SuperSport $2,500,000.00
Second on the list, yet another car which Birdman owns. So basically Birdman will have the top 2 cars in the world. And if you go down the list, you’ll see that he owns at least one other car from this top. Birdman, c’mon man, I thought you was gonna own the entire top 10, what happened man?! Is Slim telling you to cut down on cars? (Slim is his bigger brother).
Anyways, back to the car. So the Veyron pumps out a whopping 1.200 horse power from a W16 engine (yes, that’s a W).
The car can do 270 miles per hour. If it was any faster the G force will feel like you’re inside of Felix Buamgartner’s suit!
3. Zenvo ST1 $2,000,000.00
The Zenvo ST1 is the work of the Danes. It’s practically Denmark’s automotive pride. It’s probably the fastest accelerating car in the world (considering it’s weight), reaching 60 miles per hour in just 2.9 seconds. Also, it produces 1250 horse power. Gratuitous amounts of energy!
The engine is a supercharged V8.
The design is absolutely brilliant, although I do think they’ve overdone the headlights. It looks a bit to slashed.
4. Ferrari 599XX $2,000,000.00
The 599XX is not a road car. You really can’t drive it around, which makes no sense, because who would want to spend $2,000,000.00 on a car which you can’t show off on the street? Well, lots of people! Because you can take it to the race track and you’ll be blown away. It has a V12 with 700 horse power.
The design is basically the same as the 599, but of course you’ll see some racing logos here and there, and some sleek, professional tires.
5. Koenigsegg Agera R: $1,800,000.00
The Koenigsegg Agera R was unveilled at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. It comes from Sweden. It packes a V8 twin-turbo, producing 1.115 horse power. It has the coolest design ever.
It has the coolest doors. Just look at the video below. At just under 2 million, it’s really a bargain considering that you get a one of a kind car. The white is a special snow white, which is a trademark of the Swedish company.
6.Aston Martin One-77: $1,400,000.00
Engine: 7.3 liter V12 with 750 horse power. The Aston Martin One-77 is a collection car, with only 77 built in the world, hence the One-77. The car has a full carbon-chassis.
It is indeed an “automotive art form” and is the flagship coupe of Aston. It has a deployable spoiler and features an aerodynamic body full of carbon fiber.
7. Maybach Landaulet: $1,400,000.00
Yet again, a car that Birdman has. The Maybach “Lauder Jet” as he likes to call it, is actually the Landaulet Maybach, the first drop top Maybach. It’s designed on the current 62S Model, it has a twin-turbo V12 with just 543 horse power.
This car isn’t about racing. This is the Gwyneth Paltrow of cars, it’s stylish and you’ll really want to sleep with her and be inside her. The top is convertible only in the rear, making it a unique car in the world.
8. Pagani Huayra: $1,350,000.00
The Pagani is most known for it’s first supercar, the Zonda. The Huayra is the second supercar from Pagani. Honestly I don’t like the design. But the car has some nice specs.
Powered by a 700 horse power twin-turbo, it can do 230 miles per hour. That’s fast. They should have kept on to the design of the Zonda more, and not change it.
9. Hennessey Venom GT: $950,000.00
This car is built on the Lotus Elise framework. The engine is a 6.2 liter V8 with 1200 horse power.
10. SSC Tuatara: $900,000.00
Second in line after the Aero, the new 2012 model, the Tuatara based it’s design on a lizard from which it derives it’s name. Making 1400 horse power, from a 7 liter twin-turbo V8, it’s a bargain at under one million. The guys from SSC say it’s faster than a Bugatti Veyron Super Sport!
